The Universal Model: How I Assign ONE Job To Each Timeframe
By AMERIMONDE TRADING - Founder
I was confused for one year. I looked at 1 minute chart and I thought trend is bullish. I looked at 1 hour chart and it was bearish. Which timeframe do I trust?
I lost money because every timeframe told me a different story. Then I created my Universal Model on my floor. I assign ONE job to each timeframe. This stops confusion forever. Higher timeframe always controls lower timeframe.
My Floor Rule Written On My Wall:
1D = BIAS, 4H = DIRECTION, 30M = CONFIRMATION, 3M/1M = ENTRY. One job only.
1. 1D BIAS: Daily Sets Environment
Every Sunday at 5pm EST after Daily close, I take my big black rope and lay it on floor. This is my Daily Bias rope.
How I check bias:
- Daily close at 5pm EST. Big red or big green fat rope?
- Weekly Open relationship. Is Daily above or below Weekly Open?
- Liquidity sweep. Long wick = sweep.
- Premium vs discount. Sell premium, buy discount.
My rule: No bias, no trade. If Daily is 0% indecision rope, I write NO TRADE and close laptop.
2. 4H DIRECTION: Manipulation Then Truth
Middle of my drawing shows manipulation then truth.
- First candle: Continuation down.
- Second candle: Sweeps low with very long wick below - Turtle Soup. Grabs stop losses.
- Third candle: Huge bullish displacement with fat green 100% rope. Truth.
Direction becomes bullish even if Daily bias is bearish - this is retracement day. I don't fight 4H, I follow it for day.
My plan: STOP LOSS below sweep low + 15 pips buffer. ENTER at retest of 4H FVG. TARGET 2X.
3. 30M CONFIRMATION: Staircase Up
Right side of my drawing shows staircase up on 30M. This filter improved my selectivity from 40% to 65%.
My rule: 30M must align with 4H direction. If 4H bullish but 30M still lower highs, no trade. Wait.
What I look for on 30M:
- 30M Market Structure Shift breaking last high with fat green rope.
- 30M Fair Value Gap or Breaker Block.
- Sweep of Asian High/Low.
Without 30M, I entered 4H too early and price went against me 50 pips. With 30M, my entry is later but safer.
4. 3M & 1M ENTRY: Precise Location Only
Bottom of drawing says 3M and 1M Entry. Tiny ropes. I never use 1M for bias. Never. 1M is only for precise entry.
My checklist:
- Sweep of 1M high/low with long wick.
- Immediate Market Structure Shift after sweep.
- Leave 1M Fair Value Gap.
- Wait retest with invalidation beyond sweep.
My entry plan: ENTER at retest of 1M FVG. STOP LOSS beyond sweep + 15 pips buffer. TARGET 30M FVG high and 2X. Never risk more than 1% on 1M.
My Sunday to Monday Routine Example
Sunday Daily: Daily close bearish below Weekly Open at 1.0840. I write: Bearish bias context for week.
Monday 6 AM - 4H: 4H sweeps low at 1.0780 with long wick to 1.0765, then displaces bullish to 1.0820. 4H direction bullish for today - retracement.
Monday 8 AM - 30M: 30M makes higher highs - staircase up. MSS breaks last high, FVG at 1.0810. Confirmation received.
Monday 9 AM - 1M: 1M sweeps low at 1.0815, MSS bullish, leaves 1M FVG at 1.0818. I enter at 1.0820 retest, STOP 1.0800, TARGET 1.0840 and 1.0850.
This is educational illustration, not advice. I journal this daily with hand drawings from Gonzales.
