TRUE VS FALSE SUPPORT
I lost 3 trades buying at support because I didn't know this difference. One support made me money, one hunted my stop loss. Here is how I now know in 10 seconds.
FALSE SUPPORT - Why I marked NO ENTRY with RED X
Look at this Gold chart. Many beginners BUY here and lose.
What happened:
Three red candles came down to support. Yes, we got a green bounce, but see the next two green candles? They have VERY LONG lower wicks still going INSIDE the yellow support zone.
This means sellers are still active INSIDE the zone. Buyers not in control. Support is WEAK.
True Support = Green candles hold ABOVE support with small wicks.
False Support = Green candles keep wicking INSIDE support with long tails.
If you enter here, your stop loss will be hunted. Price comes down, takes your stop inside support, then goes up. Classic stop-hunt banks do.
In my ISQ model, this fails at CISD. There is NO clean Change In State of Delivery. Long wicks = indecision.
My Rule: Never enter when bullish candles still have long lower wicks touching support. Wait for clean bullish close ABOVE with strong body.
TRUE SUPPORT - Why I marked SAFE ENTRY with GREEN TICK
This is true support holding. Why green tick?
1. First red candle touched support and held.
2. Second red candle tried to break but failed - small wick.
3. Third candle GREEN - buyers stepped in.
4. Fourth green STRONG bounce - confirmation.
5. Fifth candle BREAKOUT above - ENTRY here!
This is SAFE because support proved it can hold.
My 3-Point Checklist to Avoid False Support:
1. Wait for Confirmation
False = you buy immediately on touch. True = you wait for 1 GREEN candle to close above support.
2. Count the Touch
True support is tested 2-3 times and holds. False breaks on first touch.
3. Look at Next Candle
If next candle after touch is big RED = FALSE. If next is strong GREEN = TRUE.
FINAL RULE I follow: Never buy first touch. Wait for GREEN.
Entry is not AT support. Entry is AFTER support holds and price breaks previous high. On my chart, ENTRY is on Day 5, above support. Beginners buy at yellow box and get trapped. I buy at ENTRY mark after green confirmation.
This 5-candle pattern works on any timeframe - 5 min, 1 hour, 1 day. Psychology is same.
